About this product
Eden Organic Dried Pinto Beans are the organic version of America's most common bean, grown by Michigan family farmers. Pinto means painted in Spanish: the dry beans are speckled, and they cook up to a rosy beige with a mild, sweet flavour and creamy texture. They are a source of fibre and protein.
Soak them overnight, then simmer until tender. Pintos are the all-purpose bean for burritos, tostadas, tacos, refried beans, salsa and dips, and they are just as good with rice, in soups and stews, or in a salad. Store the bag in a cool, dry cupboard.

Highlights
The U.S.A. family organic version of the most common American bean. Pinto means ‘painted’ in Spanish. They are speckled when dry and rosy beige when cooked. The artist Jackson Pollock called them “little painted canvases.” A delicious, versatile, all-purpose bean that’s great with rice, in soup, stews, and salads. A Mexican food mainstay for burritos, tostadas, tacos, refried beans, salsa, and bean dips. Rich in healthy fiber and manganese, low fat, and a good source of protein, iron, thiamin B1, and magnesium.
