Stefano Faita Tomato & Lentil Soup, 605 mL

Not the usual tomato soup. Stefano Faita simmers whole peeled Italian tomatoes and French lentils in chicken bone broth with carrots, onions, spinach, basil, bay leaf and extra virgin olive oil. The lentils bring protein and fibre and give it real body, so it is more satisfying than a smooth tomato soup without being heavy.

It comes in a 605 mL glass jar. Heat it in a pot rather than in the jar, and refrigerate once opened, using it within seven days. Good with crusty bread, or ladle it over cooked rice or small pasta to stretch it further. Made with chicken broth, so not vegetarian. May contain wheat, barley, soy and mustard.
