Frozen green peas from Stahlbush Island Farms, a 350 g bag to keep on hand for the nights when the crisper drawer is empty. Frozen peas are picked and frozen soon after harvest, so they hold their sweetness and colour.
Toss a handful into soups, fried rice, pasta or a risotto in the last few minutes of cooking, or steam them on their own with a little butter and mint. Keep frozen and use straight from the bag.
