Organic Traditions black sesame seeds are certified organic whole black sesame seeds, with a nuttier, slightly more bitter flavour than white sesame. Black sesame is a staple in Japanese, Chinese and Korean cooking, and it looks striking on anything pale.

Toast them briefly in a dry pan to bring out the flavour, then scatter them over rice bowls, stir-fries, salads, roasted vegetables, yogurt or noodle dishes. Grind them with a little salt for a quick gomashio, or blend them into smoothies. Keep the bag sealed in a cool, dry place, or in the fridge if you will not get through it quickly.
