Organic Traditions Turmeric Powder, 200 g

Organic Traditions Turmeric Powder is ground from the rhizome of the turmeric plant, a member of the ginger family. It has been used for centuries as a spice, a food preservative and a golden colouring agent, and it holds an important place in Ayurvedic tradition. This is the pure, certified organic powder with nothing added.

In the kitchen it brings warmth and colour to curries, rice, soups, stir-fries, roasted vegetables and salad dressings. Whisk it into a golden milk latte with a pinch of black pepper. It is packaged in a facility that processes tree nuts. Store sealed, away from light.

• 200 g pouch
• Certified organic turmeric powder (Curcuma longa)
• For curries, lattes, smoothies and dressings
• May contain tree nuts

Turmeric has long been used as a food preservative, a colouring agent and a spice to flavour food. Turmeric is the main anti-inflammatory herb of Ayurvedic medicine. Turmeric is often used to treat diseases of the liver and to relieve inflammation. Most herbal traditions use turmeric to “invigorate the blood”. In ancient times, turmeric was reserved for patients who were relatively weak.
