Organic Green Lentils Bulk

Organic green lentils are a pantry workhorse: small, firm lentils that hold their shape when cooked and take on whatever flavours you give them. They are sold dry by weight from our bulk section, so you can scoop enough for one soup or fill a jar for the month.

They need no soaking. Sort and rinse them, then simmer for 20 to 25 minutes until tender. Use them in soups and stews, warm salads with roasted vegetables, or as a base for veggie burgers and shepherd's pie. Cooked lentils keep in the fridge for several days. Store dry lentils in a sealed container in a cool cupboard.

Organic green lentils are dried, whole legumes that are incredibly versatile and delicious! Like pasta, green lentils can be cooked in a pot of boiling, salted water. They cook for approximately 30 minutes (tender with a slight bite), or until desired texture. Earthy and mild in flavor, green lentils are also tender in texture. Once cooked, they can be used as an alternative to meat in recipes; they can also be used as an addition to salads and soups. They blend or mash easily to add texture, thickness, and depth to recipes as well.
