Namaste Foods Gluten Free Spice Cake Mix bakes a moist cake with warm cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves, and the aroma alone will pull people into the kitchen. One box makes two 23 cm (9-inch) rounds, so it works for a layer cake or a cake plus a batch of cupcakes.

Fold in shredded carrot, raisins or currants and chopped nuts and you have a carrot cake. The mix is built on sweet brown rice flour, tapioca starch and arrowroot, and it is free from the top allergens: wheat, gluten, egg, dairy, peanuts, tree nuts, soy, mustard, sulphites, sesame, fish and shellfish. It is non-GMO, nut-free and kosher. You add eggs, oil and water.
