Forbidden Rice is Lotus Foods' name for an heirloom black rice. It is organic, and the bag holds one ingredient: organic black rice. The grains cook up to a deep purple, which makes them a striking base for grain bowls, salads and stir-fries, or a simple side under fish or curry.

It is gluten-free, non-GMO, and made without oil or additives, and it is free from the top eight allergens. Cook it as you would brown rice, and store the bag sealed in a cool, dry cupboard.
