Watkins Organic Ground Nutmeg, 82G

Ground organic nutmeg. Nutmeg is native to the Banda Islands of Indonesia, and Watkins sources this one from organic farms in South Asia. It has a toasty, sweet flavour that adds a layer of warmth to a dish.

Use it in eggnog, custards, pumpkin pie and spiced cakes, and in savoury cooking too: a pinch in béchamel, mashed potatoes, creamed spinach or a creamy pasta sauce. A little is plenty. Keep the jar sealed away from heat and light.
