Ghee is butter that has been slowly simmered until the water cooks off and the milk solids separate, then strained, leaving pure butterfat. OG Ghee takes it a step further and caramelizes the solids before straining, which gives this ghee a deeper golden colour and a nutty, toasty flavour. It is made from one ingredient: unsalted butter from Canadian farmers, sourced through farmer-owned cooperatives.

Use it wherever you would use butter or a cooking oil. It suits high-heat cooking such as searing and roasting, and it is the traditional fat for dal, curries and rice. Ghee keeps in the cupboard; no need to refrigerate. 210 g jar.
