Certified organic shallots, priced per unit as listed. Small, mild and slightly sweet, with a flavour somewhere between onion and garlic.
Store them in a cool, dry, dark place, not the fridge. Mince them into vinaigrettes and pan sauces, slice them thin and fry them crisp for topping rice and noodles, or roast them whole until soft and sweet.
