Certified organic leeks, priced per unit as listed. A gentler, sweeter member of the onion family with a thick white stem and dark green tops.
Store them in a bag in the fridge and use them within a week or two. Slice and rinse well to clear any grit, then sweat them in butter for soup, quiche or risotto, braise them whole, or save the tough green tops for stock.
