Zing Buzz Hot Honey, 250 g

Buzz is a hot honey made by Zing with Chef Christine Flynn, the Canadian chef and cookbook author. It starts with Canada No. 1 wildflower honey and adds dried chili peppers, a blend of spices, lime leaf, lemongrass and a splash of vinegar. The result is sweet heat with a bright, floral, citrusy edge rather than plain sugar and chili.

It is a drizzling honey more than a spreading one. Try it over pizza, fried chicken, roasted vegetables or a cheese board, stir it into a salad dressing or marinade, or spoon it over yogurt and fruit for a sweet-hot contrast. Keep the jar at room temperature, and if the honey firms up, a warm water bath loosens it again.
