Zazubean Hottie is a 71% dark chocolate bar with a kick: organic chili pepper and cinnamon are worked into the chocolate along with yerba mate, so there is warmth and a little lift behind the cocoa. The cacao comes from the Dominican Republic and Ecuador. It is organic, gluten-free, soy-free, vegan and Fair Trade.
Eat it slowly; the heat builds after the chocolate melts. It is a natural match for a strong coffee, and a square melted into hot chocolate or a pot of chili adds depth. Keep it cool and dry.
