Taste of Mauritius Vindaloo Spice Blend is a locally made, Atlantic Canadian mix of cinnamon, cumin, cloves, peppercorn, turmeric, chilli powder and paprika. Vindaloo is known for heat, and this blend has it, balanced by warm sweet spices. The pouch holds 70 g.
Use it to season a slow-cooked pork or chicken vindaloo with vinegar and garlic, or to spice up chickpeas, potatoes or a tray of roasted vegetables. Start with less if you are heat-shy. Store it sealed in a cool, dry cupboard.
