Certified organic turnip, sold each. This is the big, hardy root that Maritime kitchens lean on all winter: sweet, a little peppery, and sturdy enough to sit in the crisper for weeks without complaint.

Peel it, then cube and boil it for a mash with butter and pepper, roast wedges alongside potatoes and carrots, or dice it into a stew or chowder. It also grates nicely raw into a slaw if you like a bit of bite. Priced per turnip.
