Tootsi’s Organic Pinto Beans are dried, whole beans. For best results, soak beans in water overnight. Boil pinto beans in a large pot of water for 1 ½ hours to 2 hours, or until tender. Once cooked, pinto beans transform from speckled red to fully red/dark brown. Hearty pinto beans are mild in flavor, while creamy in texture. Pinto beans mash or blend easily to create spreads or dips. Pinto beans can also be added to soups, stews, casseroles, salads, and more.
