Organic Pitted Prunes

Organic pitted prunes are dried plums with the stones taken out, leaving a soft, sweet, deeply flavoured fruit. They are sold by weight from our bulk section, so you can take a handful for the week or a bigger bag for baking.

Eat them as they are, chop them into oatmeal and granola, or simmer them with a little water for a compote to spoon over yogurt. They are also good in savoury cooking: braised with pork or chicken, or stuffed into a tagine. Store them in a sealed container in a cool cupboard; the fridge keeps them longer.
