About this supplement

Borage seed oil is one of the most concentrated plant sources of gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), an omega-6 fatty acid the body can make from dietary linoleic acid but takes up more readily when it is supplied directly. Each NOW softgel holds 1000 mg of borage seed oil providing 240 mg of GLA, which NOW puts at roughly the GLA of five standard evening primrose oil capsules.

The oil is over 80 percent polyunsaturated fat and is tested to be free of harmful levels of pyrrolizidine alkaloids. This is the 60-softgel bottle, a sensible size to try first; a 120-count is also available. Shelved with our omegas and beauty supplements.
