Alter Eco Organic Burnt Caramel 70% Cacao Dark Chocolate, 80 g

A 70% cacao dark chocolate bar from Alter Eco with crunchy bits of salted caramel folded through it. The caramel is made the traditional way from organic cane sugar, butter and cream, and the bar is finished with fleur de sel for a sweet, salty, slightly toasty bite.

It is organic and gluten-free, and the majority of ingredients are traded under Fairtrade standards. It does contain milk, so it is not vegan, and it is made on equipment shared with hazelnuts. A good one to keep in the cupboard for after-dinner squares.

Made with raw cane sugar, organic cream and pastured heirloom butter are simmered to the brink of burnt for a masterful caramel crunch. Their Swiss chocolate maker drowns this golden alchemy in deep, dark Ecuadorian chocolate and then adds a sprinkle of Fleur de Sel de Guérande for mouth-watering good measure. Each malty-sweet crunch is deeply satisfying and impossible to resist.
