Bulk Organic Astragalus Root

Organic dried astragalus root, sold by weight from the bulk herb section. Astragalus is a root with a mild, slightly sweet flavour, most often used in slices or pieces, and it is a long-standing ingredient in traditional Chinese cooking and herbal teas.

Because it is a root, it does best with a long simmer rather than a quick steep: add a few pieces to a pot of broth or soup, or simmer it gently for a tea. Keep it in a sealed jar away from light and moisture.
