Organic yerba mate from Lemon Lily Tea, sold loose. Mate is a South American leaf with a grassy, earthy, slightly bitter taste, and it contains caffeine, so many people drink it in place of a morning coffee.
Sold from our bulk section by weight. Steep it in hot, not boiling, water to keep the bitterness in check; the leaves can be re-steeped. Try it with a squeeze of lemon or a little honey, or brew it strong and chill it. Store sealed, away from light.
