Watkins Organic Ground Allspice, 71G

Ground organic allspice, made from the dried berry of a tropical evergreen tree. Despite the name it is a single spice, not a blend, with a bold, warm and spicy flavour.

Allspice turns up in Caribbean, Middle Eastern and Latin cooking, in both sweet and savoury dishes. Use it in jerk seasoning, spice cakes, pumpkin pie, pickling brines and slow-cooked stews. Ground spices fade over time, so keep the jar sealed and away from heat and light.
