The Upfront Cosmetics Vanilla Chai Shampoo Bar is a solid shampoo you rub between your hands or straight onto wet hair to work up a lather. It does the job of a bottle of shampoo with no plastic bottle at all, which is why it lives in our zero-waste section. The scent is warm and cozy, sweet vanilla with the spice of a chai.
Lather it through your hair, rinse well, and follow with a conditioner bar if your hair likes one. Let the bar dry between uses on a soap dish that drains, and it will last through many washes. It packs easily for travel and the gym with nothing to leak.

Plastic-free shampoo bars, handmade in Nackawic, New Brunswick.
Alicia Sharp started Upfront Cosmetics in Nackawic, New Brunswick when she could not find plastic-free hair care she trusted on her children. The shampoo and conditioner bars are made by hand in-house, sulphate-free, vegan and cruelty-free, and each bar replaces about three bottles. There is a bar for dry hair, oily hair, blonde toning and sensitive scalps.
