Echinacea Goldenseal pairs two of the best-known antimicrobial herbs in Western herbalism: Echinacea angustifolia root and rhizome at 1:4, and goldenseal root and rhizome at 1:5, extracted in certified organic alcohol and distilled water. Goldenseal contributes hydrastine and berberine, the constituents it is prized for, and is a traditional tonic for the mucous membranes.
