Skullcap (Scutellaria lateriflora) is a North American herb from the mint family, sold here as the dried, cut aerial parts. It has a mild, slightly bitter, green taste. This one is organic and kosher certified.

It is most often steeped as a tea, on its own or blended with chamomile, lemon balm or other mild herbs, and it is a familiar ingredient in home tincture making. Sold from the bulk section by weight, so you can buy a small amount to try. Keep it in a sealed jar away from light and moisture to hold its colour.
