Simply Organic's Basil is nothing more than whole, dried, extra-fancy grade organic basil leaves (Ocimum basilicum), grown in Egypt. It is certified organic by QAI, kosher certified, non-GMO, not irradiated and not treated with ETO. The flavour is sweet and aromatic with a slightly minty, woodsy edge.

Dried basil is the herb for tomato sauces, pizza, soups and stews, dressings and marinades, and anything with beans or grains. Add it early in cooking so it has time to soften and release its flavour, and keep the jar away from heat and light.
