Coconut bacon is coconut flakes tossed in tamari, maple syrup and liquid smoke and toasted until they turn crisp, smoky and a little sweet. Real Fake Meats makes this batch in Atlantic Canada with just those four ingredients.

Use it the way you would bacon bits: scatter it over salads, baked potatoes, soups and mac and cheese, tuck it into a BLT, or sprinkle it on avocado toast. Keep the bag sealed so the flakes stay crunchy.
