Lip Clear Lysine+ is Quantum Health's lip ointment for lips that are prone to cold sores. It is built on lysine, zinc oxide and olive oil, in a beeswax base, with a long list of botanicals: echinacea, goldenseal, calendula, tea tree oil, propolis, honey, cajeput oil and benzoin, plus vitamins A, D and E.
The ointment goes on smoothly and is meant to soothe rather than sting; it also softens dry, chapped lips, so many people keep it as an everyday lip balm. The 7 g tube is small enough for a pocket or purse. Dab a little on with a clean fingertip as needed.
