Certified organic couscous, sold by weight from the bulk section. Couscous is tiny pasta made from semolina, and it is one of the quickest sides in the kitchen: pour over boiling water or stock, cover, wait a few minutes and fluff with a fork.

Toss it with roasted vegetables, chickpeas, herbs and lemon for a salad, or serve it under a stew or tagine. Fill a jar with as much as you need and keep it sealed in a cool, dry cupboard.

Tootsi’s Organic Couscous is made of small granules from durum wheat semolina. Dry couscous can be cooked by steeping the granules in warm water for up to 10 minutes, or until the granules have absorbed the liquid and become tender. Couscous is mildly nutty and tender in texture; ideal for salads, soups, side dishes, or other cooking applications. Couscous can also be used in baking applications.
