NOW Organic Inulin Powder, 227 g

NOW Organic Inulin Powder is a soluble prebiotic fibre made from the blue agave plant. Inulin is a fructooligosaccharide (FOS) that resists digestion and reaches the large intestine largely intact, where it feeds friendly intestinal bacteria. In that way it helps maintain intestinal health and function.

The powder is mildly sweet with a very low glycemic index, so it disappears into coffee, tea, smoothies, yogurt or oatmeal without changing much. A level teaspoon gives about 2.5 g of dietary fibre. Keep the tub sealed in a dry cupboard and leave the freshness packet in place.

• 227 g tub, about 81 servings

Inulin, a fructooligosaccharide (FOS), is a soluble prebiotic fiber that is resistant to digestion and reaches the large intestine essentially intact.* Intestinal probiotic bacteria consume Inulin and in turn, produce the short-chain fatty acids that nourish the cells lining the colon.* Inulin thus helps to maintain intestinal health and function.* Inulin has a pleasant flavor that adds a mild sweetness to foods and drinks, but has a very low glycemic index and will not negatively impact serum glucose levels.*
