Horny goat weed, or Epimedium, is an ornamental plant with a long history of traditional use in Chinese herbalism, where it is known as yin yang huo and taken as a tonic. NOW's extract is standardized to 3 percent icariin, the constituent the plant is best known for, and each tablet pairs 750 mg of epimedium extract with 150 mg of maca root, another herb traditionally used as a tonic.
