Holy basil, also called tulsi, is an adaptogenic herb and an all-round tonic in traditional herbal use. Living Alchemy's version is organic whole holy basil fermented in the company's Symbio kefir-kombucha culture, paired with a supporting blend of unfermented organic holy basil and organic lemon balm.

Living Alchemy ferments its herbs to make them easier for the body to digest and absorb; the company reports that fermented holy basil carries higher levels of the plant's triterpenes, polyphenols and essential oils than the raw herb. The capsule is organic pullulan, so the product is plant-based, and it keeps at room temperature. Take one to three capsules daily, with or without food. Sixty capsules per bottle.
