Omega 3 DHA + D3 Highlights
DHA is an essential fatty acid needed for the growth and development of the brain and retinas. Adequate intake during pregnancy and early life helps to support proper cognition and eyesight.
Because EPA and DHA are in so few foods that children naturally gravitate towards, it can be hard for children to get adequate amounts from diet alone, especially for picky eaters. Taking Omega-3 chewable soft gels helps to ensure your growing child is getting their needs met.

Omega 3 Fatty Acids
There are three main types of omega-3 fatty acids: alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA). ALA is the most common, found in nuts, seeds, and nut/seed oil. DHA and EPA are found in fatty fish and some algae. While small amounts of ALA can be converted to DHA/EPA, the body is not able to convert the required amounts, so food sources or supplements are necessary.
