Gandalf Organic Spirulina is a fine, deep blue-green powder made from whole spirulina, a freshwater blue-green algae that people have grown and eaten for a very long time. It is organic and comes in a 150 g container, and it is a source of algal protein.

Spirulina has a strong, savoury, sea-like taste, so most people blend a small scoop into a fruit smoothie or juice where banana or pineapple can carry it. Some stir it into yogurt or energy-ball mixes. Keep the container closed in a cool, dry, dark cupboard rather than the fridge.
