Eden nori is a sea vegetable grown on nets in Ise Bay, Japan, hand harvested at low tide, then washed, chopped, pressed between reed mats and dried into thin sheets. The result is a lustrous purple-black sheet with a fine aroma that lesser grades lack. This package holds 10 untoasted sheets.

Toast the sheets yourself following the package directions; it takes seconds and turns them bright green. Then roll sushi, nori rolls and rice balls, or slice and crumble the toasted sheets over rice, noodles, soups, vegetables and salads. Nori is very low in sodium and a source of iodine.
