Divine Essence Organic Ylang Ylang Essential Oil, 15 mL

Ylang ylang is a tree native to Southeast Asia, grown for its yellow flowers. Distilling the fresh blooms is slow work, up to 20 hours, and the result is an essential oil with a sweet, fine, enveloping scent that perfumers have relied on for a long time. Divine Essence bottles an organic ylang ylang oil for home aromatherapy.

Most people diffuse a few drops, or blend it into a carrier oil for the skin. It is a rich floral, so a little goes a long way, and it pairs well with citrus or woody oils. Nothing in the bottle but the oil itself.

The products of successive distillations results in an essence of varying densities: Extra-S, Extra, I, II and III. The Extra Superior, Extra and I fractions are used in high-end perfumes. The II and III fractions are used in cosmetics, soaps and for detergents. Ylang Ylang has a sweet, fine and enveloping scent. Ylang Ylang III essential oil is used in aromatherapy to reduce nervousness and agitation as well as to help relieve Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS).
