Chickapea One Pot Pepper and Parm is a boxed pasta dinner with a difference: the pasta is made from chickpea and lentil flour, and the seasoning packet is built on real parmesan, romano and cheddar with black pepper, garlic and onion. It is a creamy, peppery bowl in the spirit of cacio e pepe.

Boil the pasta, drain, then stir it back into the pot with a little milk and the seasoning. A knob of butter makes it richer. The chickpea and lentil pasta brings plant-based protein and fibre to the bowl, and the 198 g box serves two to three. Contains milk.

How to use
Add pasta to 10 cups of boiling, salted water. Boil for 6 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally until pasta reaches your desired firmness. Remove from heat and drain. Do not rinse. Add pasta back to the pot with 1/4 cup of low fat milk and seasoning, and mix. Optional: add 1 to 3 tbsp salted butter for a creamier, richer flavour.
