Heme Iron is CanPrev's answer for people who struggle with ordinary iron supplements. Heme iron is the form found in meat, fish and poultry. The body recognizes it readily and absorbs it more easily than plant-based non-heme iron, which is why it is a common choice for topping up iron levels, including during pregnancy when iron needs rise.

Each capsule carries 11 mg of bovine-sourced heme iron polypeptide with vitamin C (PureWay-C) and citrus bioflavonoids to help absorption. Folate as L-5-methyltetrahydrofolate and vitamin B12 as methylcobalamin are included to help form red blood cells. One capsule a day with food. Not suitable for vegetarians.
