About this product
White willow bark is the dried bark of the white willow tree (Salix alba), a herb with a long history in traditional herbal practice. It has a woody, mildly bitter taste.
Because it is a bark, most people simmer it gently as a decoction rather than steeping it like a leaf tea, and it also turns up in home tincture making. It is sold from the bulk section by weight, so you can buy a small amount to start. Store it in a sealed jar away from light and moisture and it will keep its character for months.
