Bulk Organic Steel Cut Oats

Organic steel cut oats are whole oat groats chopped into a few pieces rather than rolled flat. They cook up chewy and nutty, with a heartier texture than rolled oats, and they hold their shape well in the pot. They are sold by weight from our bulk section, so you can fill your own jar as often as you like.

Simmer them for 20 to 30 minutes for a proper bowl of porridge, or make a batch in the slow cooker overnight and reheat portions through the week. They also work in savoury grain bowls and as a rice alternative in pilaf. Store them in a sealed container in a cool, dry cupboard.
