Bob's Red Mill Oat Bran is the outer layer of the oat groat, milled into a smooth, quick-cooking hot cereal. It cooks in a few minutes on the stove and has a mild, creamy texture that takes well to fruit, cinnamon or a spoon of maple syrup.

It is more than a breakfast cereal, though. Stir it into muffin and bread batters, add a spoonful to smoothies or use it in place of some of the flour in pancakes. Oat bran is a source of fibre. Keep the bag sealed in a cool, dry place.
