BioSil, 30 Capsules

BioSil is not collagen; it is choline-stabilized orthosilicic acid (ch-OSA), a patented form of silicon designed to help your body make its own collagen. Collagen is the structural protein behind smooth skin, thick hair and strong nails. The brand's reasoning is that collagen you swallow is digested like any other protein, whereas ch-OSA helps support the cells that produce it.

Each capsule provides 5 mg of silicon with 100 mg of choline. This is the 30-capsule size, a good way to try it before committing to the larger bottle. Taken daily, it is meant for hair, skin and nails over the long term rather than a quick change.

• 30 capsules
• 5 mg silicon (as ch-OSA) per capsule
