Elk meat sticks from Atwood Heritage's game meats line. Farm-raised elk is blended with pork and beef, seasoned with a short list of spices, garlic and pepper, and sweetened a little with maple syrup. The sticks are fermented, cold smoked over natural wood and dry cured, which gives them a firm, chewy bite and a deep, savoury flavour.

They are ready to eat: toss a pack in a lunch bag, a hiking pack or the glovebox. Gluten-free and dairy-free, a source of protein, with no added colour or artificial ingredients. Cured with cultured celery powder rather than added nitrites.
