NOW Magnesium Oxide Powder, 227 g

NOW Magnesium Oxide Powder is a plain, unflavoured way to add magnesium to your day. Magnesium oxide is derived from ancient oceanic deposits and is a concentrated source of elemental magnesium, so a quarter teaspoon goes a long way. Magnesium is a mineral your body uses in energy metabolism, muscle and nerve function and bone mineralization, and it is a cofactor for an estimated 300 enzymes.

The powder dissolves into cold water or juice, which suits anyone who would rather not swallow tablets. One 227 g jar works out to roughly 450 servings, so it is an economical way to keep up with magnesium.

• 227 g unflavoured powder
• 290 mg elemental magnesium per serving
• Mix into cold water or juice

Magnesium is a mineral that is critical for energy production and metabolism, muscle contraction, nerve impulse transmission, and bone mineralization. It is a required cofactor for an estimated 300 enzymes. Among the reactions catalyzed by these enzymes are fatty acid synthesis, protein synthesis, and glucose metabolism. Magnesium status is also important for regulation of calcium balance through its effects on the parathyroid gland.
