Bob's Red Mill Organic Scottish Oatmeal is oats the way they were made in Scotland centuries ago. Instead of steaming and rolling the groats flat, the whole oat kernel is slowly ground between mill stones into a coarse meal, keeping the germ, the oil and the fibre. Cooked, it makes a smooth, creamy porridge with a flavour that is noticeably different from rolled oats.

Simmer it with water or milk and a pinch of salt, stirring now and then, and finish with brown sugar, maple syrup, cream or fruit. It also works in oatcakes. Made in a facility that also uses tree nuts, soy, wheat, milk and sesame.
