At Luminate Co Wellness Centre, we are proud to have Amy Yorke, a certified trauma-informed physiotherapist with specialized training in pelvic health, as part of our team. Amy is dedicated to providing personalized, holistic, and evidence-based care. She creates a compassionate and safe space for clients to openly discuss their pelvic health concerns. Known for her empathetic approach, she has earned the prestigious Jan Elizabeth Leonard Prize, which recognizes excellence in both clinical skills and bedside manner.
With extensive training in the assessment and treatment of a wide range of pelvic health issues, Amy works with adults of all genders and ages. Her expertise includes, but is not limited to, conditions such as: bladder/bowel incontinence, urgency, or voiding dysfunction; constipation, pelvic organ prolapse, sexual pain syndromes, and pregnancy/postpartum concerns (e.g., diastasis recti, pain, return to sport).
Amy has a special interest in supporting individuals navigating perimenopause, menopause, and chronic pelvic pain conditions such as endometriosis, interstitial cystitis, vulvodynia, pudendal neuralgia, and chronic non-bacterial prostatitis. In addition to her practice in pelvic health, she enjoys working with individuals navigating chronic hip and lower back pain.
Amy holds a Master of Science in Physiology/Biophysics from Dalhousie University, with a research background in aging and frailty. She has also taught as an Instructor and Part-Time Academic in the Faculty of Medicine, where she most recently taught first-year undergraduate physiology.

Outside of the clinic, Amy enjoys paddleboarding, playing sports with her family, solving crossword puzzles, and reading a great book.
