NOW® Goldenseal Root is derived from the root of the Hydrastis canadensis plant. It has been used traditionally by Native Americans for hundreds of years and is still used by modern herbalists today. It has been referred to as “king of the mucus membranes” because of its use for reducing mucus membrane inflammation. The active ingredients of goldenseal include isoquinoline alkaloids, such as berberine, canadine, and hydrastine.

Each capsule contains:
Goldenseal Root (Hydrastis canadensis) 500 mg
Non-Medicinal Ingredients: Capsule (gelatin, water), Stearic Acid (vegetable source).
Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you have blood pressure problems, a kidney disorder.
Consumption with alcohol, drugs, health products with sedative properties is not recommended.
Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Adults: Take 1-2 capsules 3 times daily. May take up to 1 week to see beneificial effects
