100% PURE AND COLD PRESSED BERGAMOT OIL DERIVED FROM THE PEEL OF THE BERGAMOT FRUIT. The oil that gives earl gray tea it’s distinct and unmistakable flavor, bergamot essential oil is know for it’s uplifting effects. Bergamot oil is thought to have originated in India, where its Turkish name meant “king of pears” resembling the pear shape fruit of the plant. Bergamot oil is widely used in aromatherapy as it has energizing and stimulating properties. Also a favorite among perfumers providing a sweet and mildly spicy scent. Bergamot mixes particularly well with cedar wood, citronella, chamomile, and more.

This essential oil is phytotoxic, which means it increases the effect of sunlight. Therefore, never apply bergamot to skin before exposure to sun. Additionally, do not apply neat on skin; must be diluted in a carrier oil or cream.
For aromatherapy use. For all other uses, carefully dilute with a carrier oil such as jojoba, grapeseed, olive, or almond oil prior to use. Please consult an essential oil book or other professional reference source for suggested dilution ratios.
